The World of White Light Story
Synopsis
WHITE LIGHT STORY traces the journey of a young Girl in post-war Japan, her Mother and Father, a legendary mystical martial arts Fighter, and a curious Fox Spirit, whose lives are all thrown astray when the Girl's parents are tragically killed in 1956.
With their destinies torn apart and scattered, they must traverse over three incarnations of death and re-birth, from the mountains and cities of Japan to the romantic pubs in Ireland, from deep coastal forests of Canada to the warm surf towns in Brazil, each fighting to remember (or forget!) the truths of their past, and the bonds that transcend time.
Packed with interweaving tales of adventure, romance, reincarnation, and even a Sumo tournament in the Spirit World, WHITE LIGHT STORY is a heartfelt, magical martial arts saga for adults & young adults alike!
A Story of Family, True Love, Life, Death, Martial Arts, Free Will, and Destiny.

Episodes 1 -4
FISTS of RED
‘Fists of Red’ follows the tale of William, the sole bearer of an ancient mystical fighting style, who has sworn a sacred oath that before he dies, he will find a True Student to whom he can pass on his wisdom.
However his search goes wrong, resulting in the orphaning of a child.
Devastated, he attempts to abandon his oath, in exchange for Love.

Episodes 5 - 8
LIGHTER than AIR
‘Lighter than Air’ follows the tale of Xiu Li, who has just been orphaned in Japan at only age nine.
Rescued from the mountains, she is taken to the city by some fortunate new friends.
Haunted by dreams of her parents, and visions of a curious Fox Spirit, she must grow up learning on her own who she can really trust in this life, and who she cannot.

Episodes 9 - 12
ROYAL and the WOLF
‘Royal and the Wolf’ follows the tale of Xiu Li’s Mother and Father, after dying in their encounter with William.
After watching over their orphaned daughter briefly from the Spirit World, they find themselves re-born once more in Human form, though in vastly different places.
Can their bond bring them together again in the Physical World?

CHAPTER 4
Episodes 13 - 16
JULIE and the LIGHT
‘Julie and the Light’ continues the tale of Julie, the newest incarnation of Xiu Li, now living as an 8-year-old street kid in a Canadian inner city.
Suddenly plagued with traumatic visions of a forgotten past, she attempts a solo cross country adventure to find and save her parents from Sifu’s Secret Commune, of which she is told is only a delusion.

Episodes 17 - 20
MASATO and the MASK
‘Masato and the Mask’ follows the tale of Masato, a Fox Spirit who curiously stumbles through a Gate to the Physical World.
There, he falls in love with Xiu Li, but when her parents are killed, he is forced back to the Spirit World, and the Gate vanishes.
Now, the only way to find her is to win a mystical Sumo tournament, where the prize is a true Human form.

Episodes 21 - 24
JULIANA and MASATO
‘Juliana and Masato’ follows the tale of Juliana, the newest incarnation of Xiu Li/Julie.
Remembering nothing, she lives a simple teen life in Brazil of surf, sun, and sand with her parents.
But when she meets Masato, an odd Japanese boy claiming that a mystical White Light will help him win a prestigious MMA Tournament in her town, her life is turned upside down.

Episodes 25 - 28
SIFU'S WAY
‘Sifu’s Way’ continues the tale of Juliana, as she travels with Dad and Masato to Japan for the MMA World Tournament Finals.
But when the White Light begins to spread like a plague, they are thrown wildly off course.
With visions of Mom back in Brazil, and a painful reunion with Sifu, she must finally come to learn the truths of all their lives & destinies.

WHITE LIGHT STORY takes place in Ireland, Canada, Brazil, and Japan.
It would be ideal to create the series via a partnership of funding/talent from all 4 countries.

About the Author/Illustrator
The author/creator of WHITE LIGHT STORY has a degree in Classical Animation Filmmaking from Sheridan College, and has been a professional storyboard/concept artist in TV broadcast advertising for over 20 years.
WHITE LIGHT STORY has been written & designed carefully & patiently over 25 years with honesty and love. Though it may appear as mere fantasy on the surface, it is ultimately built upon the author's true unique life experiences growing up as a child, adventuring as a youth, his own coming-of-age, falling in love, marriage, traveling, having kids, being a father, training martial arts, watching parents & loved ones pass away, starting new ventures, following dreams, getting older, lessons learned, and all the precious moments in between.
The story's aim is to uplift audiences, and spread love & positivity into the world.
